RRH preview

I stared into the gaping jaw and the long teeth in the HUGE black wolf's mouth, the smell was vile; it smelt like dead...things and blood. I was frozen with fear of dying; blood surrounded me like Red Riding Hood's cloak, the wolf growled a deep growl that reminded me of something, but what? I stood as still as I could, gasping with pain and trying not to move. I stared into the wolf's blue eyes that bored into mine.

My eyes flew open, my heart thumping I was definitely scared out of my wits. I was breathing in and out heavily, those eyes.... such a beautiful blue....as blue as the sky in the morning before the pinkness infects the pure colour, an electric blue. But there was something else; I've been having this nightmare for weeks now...mum is contemplating taking me to a Shrink. But I wouldn't be able to bear being called 'Crazy Catherine' I would just be ten times as worse as 'Creepy Cathy'.

It was Friday, all I have to do is make it through school and hang with my friends who are ridiculed as well as me...the perfect trio. I looked at my alarm clock on my desk and sighed, I felt as if there was a bag of bricks on me....I sighed and sat up on my elbows and lifted the duvet off  me and walked to my bathroom.

I lived in a town called Plainton, this town is seriously historic a lot of the houses are really big because generations of people have added and lived in them houses also including the  house I live in. I have lived here all my life, outside of my window is Old Plainton Woods were you have a perfect view of the moon. Here we seem to get a touch of all the seasons, Summer and Winter are the most notorious for being the worst of them all in Summer it can't get hotter and Winter your knee deep in snow freezing your socks off, in which you may end up having numb feet; I know that from experience.  

But the latest season is Autumn, and this is the season when you can't wear shorts and tank tops but it isn't the time for boots and black and really Christmassy colours, It is Halloween my favourite time of year. The year were you see what silly costumes people wear the little kid's faces when you give them candy and the Jack-o'-lanterns, also October is the month for the Halloween prom my favourite school event; I'm on decorating committee and I always make sure it is better every year with the help of my Goth friend Izzy (Isabella) she absolutely hates it when people call her Bella, you see she likes her Vampires to burn in sunlight be allergic to silver and Garlic  (would it surprise you if her favourite book is Count Dracula?)

And my guy friend Ben; who indeed is 'Gay' but before you judge he is a very loyal and kind friend just because he plays for a different team doesn't make him evil or anything at all like that. Together Izzy and Ben have great taste on Halloween and interior decoration and are unstoppable, today is the first meeting as Halloween is now three weeks away and loads of people like to back out during which we need all the help we can get. But the only problem with school is that we have to face her majesty queen Blake.
